Calculator Accuracy & Limitations

Islam Calculator makes every effort to ensure that our Zakat, Nisab, Halal mortgage, Halal investment and country-specific calculators are accurate based on established Islamic jurisprudence and publicly available market data.

⚠️ Important Limitation: All calculators on Islam Calculator provide estimates only. Gold prices, silver prices, currency exchange rates and Nisab thresholds change daily. The figures shown are based on data available at the time of our last update and may not reflect today’s exact market prices.

We strongly recommend updating the gold and silver price fields in our calculators with today’s current market rates before finalising your Zakat calculation. We have included manual price update fields in our calculators for this reason.

Islam Calculator is not responsible for any Zakat underpayment or overpayment resulting from reliance on our calculator outputs without verification of current market prices.

Not a Religious Authority or Financial Advisor

Islam Calculator is an educational and informational resource. We are not a Shariah board, a mufti, a darul ifta or a religious authority of any kind. Nothing on this website constitutes a fatwa, religious ruling or authoritative Islamic legal opinion.

We are not financial advisors, investment advisors, mortgage brokers or regulated financial services providers. Our Halal investment and mortgage calculators are educational tools for comparison purposes only — not investment advice.

📖 For personal Zakat rulings, complex asset situations, or Islamic finance decisions involving significant amounts, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified Islamic scholar (alim/mufti) and/or a certified Islamic finance professional in your jurisdiction.

Scholarly differences of opinion exist on many Zakat issues — particularly around prize bonds, pension funds, cryptocurrency and mixed asset calculations. Our calculators present the most widely accepted positions but cannot account for every individual circumstance or local scholarly consensus.
